Hey guys well is it really safe to do this devhook stuff anything I should avoid while doing it? since im 10 almost 11  i dont have hacking and high tech skills. I've been using reverse devhook for a long time. Is there anything i shouldnt do while doing these things that will brick me psp? All I do is I run HENC start up devhook go to 1.5 (2.6 if I want to use cheat device :D ) and play homebrew. thanks
I have 2.71

the beautiful thing about reverse devhook is that it DOES NOT TOUCH YOUR FLASH.

so it is 125% safe. do anything you want =)

the only thing i would NOT do is if u see anything that says "FLASH xxxxxxxxxxxx to xxxxxxx"...anything that says flash, just dont touch :)

the only place that could possibly be would be in the devhook menu when u first start the program, but it would be under advanced.

and welcome! :D

Besides if you did use any advanced features it would probably write to your emulated firmware(hopefully) :)

nope devhook is probably one of the best things for the psp...besides 2.71SE-B"...and they were both made by the best coder out there lol

ya, but it is just for a couple of secs, so you should be fine, anyway it only writes new ones, so barely any chance of bricking.

There is very slim chance of bricking as it writes new files to the flash

Yes, I know this is old, but thats how I bricked my psp... Reverse devhook.
You're not safe from brickers that format the flash. Devhook CAN format the flash, it just can't write files to it. So, run a CFW installer on it, and you're BrIcKeD.

thats the only way u can brick in devhook.

henc writes to flash only once. then the rest of the times u use henc it uses the flashed files from what i have heard

yes this topic is pretty old
