No, I unfortunately don't have those sort of consoles as haven't had a TV since 2001 when it burnt out inside. Got no money to get one and can't afford paying for a TV license either. That's why I have just portable ones.

I know, because everyone at work talk alot about games for PS2 and others and I wished I had those consoles too... :(

JKKDARK
November 8th, 2006, 20:21
wait, you have a PC, right? You can use your monitor, you don't need a TV :)

Shrygue
November 8th, 2006, 20:26
Really? Well that sounds good. My computer screen is 1280x1024 pixels - about 17 inches I think. Possible to connect though the DVI socket or just the ordinary 15-pin monitor one? Asking because I have both types on it.

You will need a VGA box ;)

Shrygue
November 8th, 2006, 20:32
VGA box? Or did you mean VGA socket? In any case, is a special adaptor needed to link between monitor and console?

Smart. I did think somethimes if it were possible use computer in place of a TV and now it seems it could work after all. I ought to try that then, get home consoles and play via the monitor. Just gonna have a problem finding a place to put them in - I have a really small room and my computer fills about 30% of it right now.

Things to use any console other than a Dreamcast on a computer monitor are ridiculously expensive and result it really poor quality signal.

Hmmmm...doesn't sound good. But still, that wound stop me if I wanted to go ahead and test it out. I wonder if the upcoming Wii system would work with a computer screen anyway? If it did, I'm getting that console and add to my collection I have!

Off topic: my 200th post from here
