Reckons it's the only social gaming service to support all major native OSs.
The PlayPhone Social Gaming Network, like its well-known competitors Gree, DeNA, Papaya et al, offers a platform through which games can enjoy community features like virtual goods, synchronous multiplayer gaming and deep social integration.
However, the network is more of a destination in itself than a platform that operates via third party games. It has 35m registered users.
The firm has just announced that it's adding WinPho to Android, iOS, HTML5, Adobe AIR and Unity – and says it's the first to do so.
The PlayPhone SGN SDK is free and is available now to developers.
“Microsoft and its partners have put extensive resources toward the rapid adoption of the Windows Phone 7 platform worldwide” said Anders Evju, SVP and GM, PlayPhone.
