View Full Version : how do i install cygwin, subversion, psptoolchain, etc.?

hey im trying to get into this whole psp programming thing, i installed cygwin and now im trying to install the psptoolchain and sdk.... thats the part i need help with, some site said i need a program called subversion and i just cant seem to figure out how to install the rest of this stuff.... any help would be greatly appreciated thanks....

really you only need two things to start psp devving

one is devkitpro www.devkitpro.org

and the other is tortoise cvs (google it)...

so that inlcudes everything i need to make games using the c/c++ language?

Well yes, but that setup uses msys (mingw) and not cygwin - which I *personally* prefer.

do you know the main difference? because it seems that most people have been using cygwin?

Couldnt say. I would have thought most people would be using msys/mingw as thats what ships with devkitpro.

yeah cool... thats the swecond time youve helped me out this week...
