I know you can use the psar dump to get the files needed, but will there acctually be a dev hook emulating 2.8 FW and if there is one sorry for being a noob; can you tell me where to download it. I'm not very good at keeping up to date lol

Just upgrade to 2.71 SE-B". I have it, and I really like it a lot. It doesn't care what firmware you have when launching UMDs.

i would but all the custom firmware shizzle confuses me so Im gonna stick with devhook, although if the 2.8+devhook takes to long I'll give it a try :)

2.71SE-B" is much easier to use than devhook AND it frees up space on ur MS because you dont have to worry about having the DevHook launcher and stuff on there. PLus 2.71SE-B" just launches straight to it onstead having to use all kinds of confusing steps to get it to work lol

It is a whole lot easier to use VCS from 2.71SE than it is from devhook, as you don't have to do the "swap trick".

Step 1: Put in UMD that your psp can already run.

Step 2: Boot the UMD, and as soon as you see the "PSP" screen, quickly eject and instert VCS

Step 3: If you did it right, VCS should boot up normally.

Shows how to do a 2.71/2.8 Devhook hybrid. Works for me.
