Milestone hit in ten days netting the firm over $5m.
Along with the unveiling of the new iPad on March 7th, Apple also revealed iPhoto for iOS, a notable move as the app was previously just available for Macs.
Now, The Loop (http://www.loopinsight.com/2012/03/21/iphoto-for-ipad-iphone-hits-1-million-users-in-less-than-10-days/) reports Apple has passed the milestone for one million iPhoto downloads within ten days of its release.
The premium app is priced at $4.99 and doesn't seem to have deterred iPad and iPhone users, which is good news for Apple that will have made more than $5 million from sales.
Of course, the sum is just small change compared to the $98 billion nest egg (http://www.mobile-ent.biz/news/read/apple-to-reveal-plans-for-its-98bn-cash-reserve-today/017447) the company is currently sitting on.
The app features a series of functions including multi-touch, speed, enhancements, and social media integration, seemingly with a view to rival Adobe PhotoShop at a fraction of the price
