Hello everyone, I just got a Dreamcast a month or two ago and seven games as a free gift, and I absolutely love it. It's amazing that emulation can be done without a modchip.

After some research, I was able to get Super Famicast and DreamSNES running with little to no problems. However, I would like to get NesterDC running too.

I used NesterDC version 3.0 from this site:
http://nesterdc.emulation64.com/

The NesterDC CD that I burned boots fine, however all the menus are scrambled. I can't see what game I am selecting so I just choose a random one, and it plays the NES game just fine, however I would like to be able to see the menus too.

Please be informed that I do not have nor do I have access to a Windows PC whatsoever. I use Linux for everything and don't have any plans of using anything else. To that end, I used the link below to get DreamSNES and SuperFamicast running, I just followed the instructions:
http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=34692

Again, the instructions above that I followed above worked fine for DreamSNES and SuperFamicast but not NesterDC. NesterDC boots and plays games but the menus do not work.

I am more interested in a working NES than I am a SNES. So if I could get some pointers I would be very grateful. :)

oh dear, that site is very very old, and that version of nester dc is very old

the latest version is NesterDC SE (http://dreamcast.dcemu.co.uk/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,56,58)

but at the moment that only works with windows,
so you will have to go with nesterDC 7.1 (http://dreamcast.dcemu.co.uk/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,56,60)

How to burn the disc in linux.. thats a hard one.

there are some linux tools here (http://dreamcast.dcemu.co.uk/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,73) but nothing that can help... well

hmm, let me get back to you with this
