New devhook update....

Just for the people not to worry, Booster has now resumed his work on the psp (especially devhook) after several months of inactivity due to beeing working on another console's scene (I am not sure I can name it so I wont).

I am sorry, for now I cannot give any ETA current devhook betas, still be sure to know serious improvements were done.

Booster is working on DS Lite projects as well? That can't really be a bad thing. The DS Lite has good homebrew potential. I doubt it will ever come close to matching PSP homebrew though.

But man, back on topic... A new DevHook. I was really starting to feel like DevHook may not be "officially" worked on any longer. But the fact that Booster is going back to work on it right after the recent 3.00/3.01 firmware releases is fantastic news.

I had anticipated that this would happen. It made perfect sense to force SONY to release 3.00 firmware before any new DevHook releases.

DevHook all the way!! I prefer using DevHook instead of 2.71 SE-B. And if chunglam's Launcher MOD can be adapted to future versions of DevHook I think that is the best way to go. Unless [B]3.00[ SE/B] custom firmware is eventually unveiled.

Devhook is an incredible piece of work. I keep thinking that I'm going to get a mod chip so I won't have to worry about devhook then I see more news about it and prefer to go the cheaper route. Devhook is awesome and I love booster. Boy oh boy, I am getting lonely for my PSP right now.

Can't wait. Devhook is thee best thing to ever happen for homebrew, hands down. Here's my wishlist for xmas:

- USBFS support
- Ability to switch ISOs without going back to 1.x and than back into devhook to choose a new ISO or play the actual UMD.
- Windows installer, w/ GOOD font/sound packs

- best present ever... Devhook + iRShell = Sony's worst headache >:)

All of that and much MUCH more can already be done with DevHook 0.46 -

You just need to install the right MODs.

The best one in my opinion is chunglams Launcher MOD v1.65c3 - - it makes DevHook 50 times better. That and the wlan.prx mod file that allows for overclocking wifi support.

Unless you meant you want to retain those features in a new version of DevHook.

oh yeah, I have the DH mod launcher, I just want it as a builtin feature and not an extra mod I need to have installed. IMO my Games folder looks effing messy with DH, DH Mod, Fastloader, UMDEm etc.

beast! lol we should ask booster to go for a 3.01 devhook as if we have that we won't need a 2.8*/3.0 and we can get the ps1 emulator (not that I want) and more importantly connect to PS3s (not that I want a PS3 either I think there expensive and a waste of £500 lol)

I have been testing it with a few newer games and it seems to work fine. The acid test will be test UMD's with 3.00/1 firmware.

I don't think it will work on 2.8. You could always try it through eLoader though, it doesn't write to flash, at least I don't think so.
