new release from charnold of his Wolfenstein3D type game for the PSP

http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/dungeons.JPG

The changes:

- 3 default button control sets
- now you can actually see and evade the enemy shots :-)
- player and enemies use 2 different weapon types with separate bullets
- maps can have different door textures per level, hidden doors, invisible switches and a switch can open multiple doors (thanks to JEMdev for the ideas!)
- enemies can kill each other
- faster rendering of the 3d models

This is the best homebrew game EVER.
Keep up the good work!
Non-homebrew DEVs should take a look at this, cause this guy actually made a good FPS on PSP, with nice controls!!
Way to go man!

it looks real nice, now if only the enemy ai was able to duck and cover to avoid getting shot by the player then it would come so close to a real game :)

I second your vote of best homebrew game ever. Don't get me wrong though, I love a lot of homebrew games, but this one gave me what I wanted: a great looking fps.

Props to charnold on his mad creation.

anyone can get it to work with 2.71SE-C?
I've kxploit it, and copy the 'data' folder into the folder that doesnt have %.. put both folder of dungeons and dungeons% into in game150 folder, run it and it hangs, then psp automatically shutdown..

Wow, its been a while since i had that much simple fun on a PSP =D If i could add a suggestion, MORE LEVELS LIKE LEVEL 15 where there are a HUGE amount of enemies in a room, and more crazy and colorful textures like in i think level 12 with the blue and green tiles.

Guys, this game DOES work with 1.5...im running it on 1.5 right now, but you need a little program called kxploit, available at psphacks, to put in a little patch which allows you to play this. Put the kxploit folders into your game folder, disconnect the cable, run the kxploit program which will put in a temporary patch which willl now allow you to load up dungeons.

This game has come really far, and it's awesome :D

It would be even better if you could look up and down, and whatnot.

But, it's still a great piece of homebrew. :D

This game is great, the most impressive homebrew game iv'e played in a long time.

It works under 1.5 for me, however it wont let me change the folder names to get rid of the corrupt icons (hard coded paths perhaps?).

I kxploited/transfered it to PSP with sei psp tool (http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=201607&postcount=18) (with corrupt-icon-removing folder renaming enabled) and it wouldn't load (black screen, memory stick light lit, then shuts off).

Rename the folders back to Dungeons and Dungeons% (or uncheck that option in whatever you're using to kxploit it) and it will run fine.

EDIT: Attached the kxploited version that works for me in case its really too hard for some. Renaming the folders to get rid of the corrupt folder will stop it working so you'll have to live with it.

Try putting the data in ms0:/PSP/GAME/Dungeons, and the EBOOT.PBP in ms0:/PSP/GAME150/Dungeons. I haven't tested it yet, but it should work.
