View Full Version : Sony retracts 1080i fix statement

Sony has contacted us to let us know that they may have spoken a bit prematurely. SCEA's Dave Karraker, Sr. Director, Corporate Communications, informed GameDaily BIZ that they currently cannot confirm that this 1080i issue will be resolved via a firmware patch. The official line is now that they are "looking into the issue and haven't stated any actions that will be taken regarding it."

Great! Is all i can say if this is true. Im tired of promises and broken promises from sony, I will be forced to buy a 360 if this whole thing goes on.

I thought it was a 720P problem. I'm just confused about the label, but I thought that the 1080i ran just fine. oh well, i do hope they can get this fixed. it would be a shame to see them make such a great peice of hardware and then not be able to have it do some simple things that even the 360 can do, and has done. well good luck sony.
