RyanB (http://www.cryptosystem.org/) has posted a new releaseof his excellent Genesis Emulator for the Nintendo DS, heres whats new:


Added Max Media Dock FAT support (thanks chishm/Bonic)
Added EZ4 FAT support (thanks cory1492/Rudolph)
Reduced memory usage, 3MB ROMs should work again
Added EXPERIMENTAL support for using the additional RAM on SuperCard SD carts to load ROMs larger than 3MB. This comes with the standard warning that this feature may cause file corruption on your SD card. The SCSD may also keep the Genesis ROM in GBA ROM space after a reboot, causing PicoDriveDS to see it as an appended ROM and crash on startup - to fix this issue simply power down, take the SCSD out, and wait a few seconds.

I am quite new to this but I manage to get it working.

Working well with Streets of Rage 3 and Sonic 1. Did not play Sonic 3 as I think it is over the 3mb limit.

This is great. Good work whoever made this :D

Sonic 3 works, but slow, Sonic 3K, still won't, as its 4mb...

Real good, but I didn't notice any speed increase. The sound is not emulated yet.

You have to append roms to make them work on your G6.

So, Bonic, is this the same as your Max Media Version? No other major updates other than cart compatibility?

I can't find my USB cord so I can't test it.

I'm using M3 Lite and works like a charm! Remember that you have to run the .nds file with the START button.

I am on Vista and Works very good.

I test Golden Axe, Shadow Dancer, Altered Beast, Ghouls'n Ghost and Street of rage ....... whithout sound ......... Waiting next version for this.;)

Picodrive 1.6 works also in Supercard miniSD
This realease is very slow with games like Flashback, god with Street of Rage and Another World... another realease become more faster and emulate sound but this version is very ok

I'm very sorry to ask such a stupid question, but can someone teach me how to get the games to play on te DS? I put the emulator on my flashcard but it can't find anything to load.

go to this guys site and it'll tell you how to put this genesis emulator and snes emulator on the ds. The only thing he left out is that you need to put the .smc rom (i think) in the root folder, and make sure its the sega rom of the game.
