As you all know kando and LordSturm have found a way to get the 3.00 visualizer on 2.71 SE-C so i decided to see what other goodies they have in store for use and i found that they also have the 3.00 vsh on 2.71 SE-C. Looks like al of you who wanted 3.00 should have stayed on 2.71 SE firmware because now we 2.71 SE users are gonna get the benefits of 3.00:D :D :D heres the link to the video:

Good work fellas im impressed, how stable is it? looks like sony left the door open wide this time, no wonder 3.01 came the next day, lol.

Basically how i see it, this is a begining of a way to emulate 3.0 on 2.71 SE-C, this will possibly become the starting base of newer stuff like this as it allows differnt access, such as .prx file loading from MS etc.fingers crossed hey

Both Firmwares at the same time pretty much..
Best of both worlds...

My thoughts exactly. This sort of thing makes 2.71 SE-C extremely appealing.

But 2.71-SE is not 100% problem free at the moment. Very damn close but still a few kinks that I'm sure will be worked out.

I'm holding out for a new DevHook. DevHook has been 100% reliable, compatible, & multi-functional with the Launcher MOD.

With word of a new DevHook on the horizon, I think I'll wait and then make my final decision.

Basically, 2.71 SE is a way to have both 2.71 & 1.50 functions at the same time. Both firmwares files are flashed to the PSP so you don't need to boot into any kind of launcher. You can use all 1.50 kernel homebrew as well as play commercial games and backups. Whether or not it is BETTER than DevHook is of much debate within the homebrew scene. I think it is too early to tell which will be the dominant solution.

the full "hack" is still undergoing, with a third member of FWI, Birdman, joining in and doing wonders for the peoject. Don't expect anything tomorrow, the day after....but updates will come.

and a legal way to get this working will also come.

wait a sec the video i seen didint show any booting of devhook so whats up with that and im not talkin about birdmans vid i mean the other two videos i seen almost made me piss my pants and i hope this gets released but anyways about the legallity of this will look at booster and devhook did that stop him well it did but he came back so i say release it bt thats not up to me but anyways keep up the great work on this

Ive had the machiene crash a couple of times when im playing emu's before now, only seems to happen when you put it in sleep mode and it isnt all the time, just on occassions.its a good firmware so i can deal with it.shame it happened after about an hour on chrono triger just now though :(
