It looks like all the complaining over the Lost Planet multiplayer demo's dingy text has paid off, as Capcom has promised the final game will automatically detect standard definition televisions and bump the text up a few font sizes.

The original complaint was over the leaderboard text in the elimination game mode, which in its current states needs several aligned magnifying glasses to read on an SD TV (hoho).

Capcom's other flagship 360 title, Dead Rising, is plagued with a similar pint-sized text problem, although Capcom has previously said it will not be able to solve the problem through a future patch or update.

In addition to the multiplayer fix, there's good news for squinty-eyed solo gamers as Capcom says the text tweak will also extend to the single-player experience, where in the final game objectives will be delivered through both text and voice.
