PSP dominates on list of games for parents to avoid

The National Institute on Media and the Family has just released their annual Report Card, and are advising parents to avoid buying certain games for their kids. All of the titles feature "M" ratings, but meh... parents are too busy to actually look at ratings! Here are the games to avoid, with PSP titles bolded:

Gangs of London *
The Sopranos
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories *
Reservoir Dogs
Mortal Kombat: Unchained *
Scarface: The World is Yours
The Godfather: Mob Wars *
Saints Row
Dead Rising
Just Cause

This list tells me one thing: the PSP really is for the mature crowd. Four of those titles are either exclusive, or enhanced on the PSP, making this system easily much more evil than the childish DS counterpart. At least the Institute recommends Loco Roco for the holidays, which should distract the kids from downloading porn onto their systems.

What's wrong with Dead Rising? It's conceivably Resident Evil, with better everything but storyline. What if zombies really did take over a town, all the kids of these parents would be like "We can't kill them! It's wrong! Let's be friendss!" :D

I can understand GTA on there, because you kill cops, and whatnot, but what's wrong with killing a bunch of the living dead? :p

I have always been against the idea that violent games promote violent behavior because the facts just don't indicate that whatsoever for the age group that are capable of playing games.

But this list is, I believe, a good idea. Why? Because parents are ****ing idiots.

Same here. I'm a huge fan of living dead movies and games, and this one seems to be both in one! I plan on getting another 360 soon (my other crapped out on me) just so I can play this game....and Gears of War. Now that is pretty kick ass too.

I wonder why it's not on the list of games not to buy?

Well, SONY has said from the start that the PSP would be geared to an older audience. However, that audience is getting younger as the PSP ages.

SONY really should not have made the "handheld gaming ghetto" reference to Nintendo though.

There are a few good games, but every PSP game I've played has a replay value of negative 4.

the only reason they do crap like this such as ratings and stuff for games is so that certian small number of kids who are on the more likely side to developing certian characteristics from these games dont develop them. I mean i watched nightmare on elm street when i was like 6 and stuff with my cousin and im no mentally deranged psycho. Its just that its so easy to kill in a game and stuff that a kid could get used to the idea and visuals that they may attempt it RL, because kids don't really think things through at a young age because in that stage the human mind is all about curiousity and they have ratings and stuff for games because they dont want kids killing parents now do we?

I own All the ones in bold except the godfather(want it), and I own none of the non bold ones.lol:rofl: . I am sad to say that all good games now a days are rated "M", and do have tons of bad sh*t in them.
