Did you enjoy My Dark Dungeons mod for Dungeons 0.4 (http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=36528&highlight=dungeons)?
When Charnold released much improved v6, I decided to contunue my work on this project, so here it is - new Dark Dungeons, v1.6 :-)
What's new in v1.6:
- all new v6 features (3D weapons with flying bullets, invisable triggers, 2 new maps...)
- 4 new retextured levels (2 from Dungeons v6 & 2 built by BlackShark); some old levels were modified; new textures.
- new enemies! I replaced Ranger & Razor with the monsters Klesk & Uriel from Quake 3 :P
- new railgun model... I mean, old railgun model... Well, I replaced that strange railgun model, which I found in the Dungeons, with the original Quake 3 raigun :P
- some new gfx (new rail trail and original Q3 plasma particle)
- new bootpicture added to the EBOOT
Now, the game looks more likely true Dungeons! :)
My idia is to transformate Dungeons into the best homebrew First Person Shooter for the PSP in the universe :-) So, I'm going to contunue working on this project, when the new great Dungeons update will be released... ;-)
Instalation:
It's simle. Just copy the PSP folder from this archive to the root of your Memory Stick Duo (apply file rewriting). You don't need any previous installation of the Dungeons, or Dark Dungeons on the MS.
If your firmware is 1.50, you have to find the EBOOTs_for_firmware_1.50 folder in this archive and copy DUNGEONS and DUNGEONS% dirs from it into MS_ROOT\PSP\GAME (apply file rewriting).
Have Fun! ;-)
Download Dark Dungeons 1.6 from >here< (http://www.ftp.nu/files/6511/)

Thanks for your feedback, guys ;)
Quote from qj:
For the past couple of weeks, we've had a bit of a trend going on with most homebrews. Seems like everyone's in an FPS-funk lately. With Charnold's PSP Dungeons 3D out on its sixth version, lots of homebrew developers followed suit. We've been getting mods from other developers who've brought their own twist on Charnold's FPS masterpiece.
Here are some Dungeons v6 Mods, take a look at them:
Frack Mod 2 (http://pspupdates.qj.net/Frack-Mod-2-Dungeons-3D-v0-6/pg/49/aid/75165) - Awesome Mod, musstplay, I like it as much as Dark Dungeons!
Dru Mod 1.0 (http://pspupdates.qj.net/PSP-Dungeons-0-6-Dru-Mod-1-0/pg/49/aid/75167) - nice lighting (Dungeons v 6 doesn't support lighting system, but Drew used such textures, which make the illusiom of lighting!), deep atmosphere...
Medal of Honor mod (http://forums.qj.net/f-psp-homebrew-discussion-12/t-medal-of-honor-dungeons-mod-for-psp-dungeons-v6-82446.html) - just released by ElDom - I haven't played it (am going to do it now...) but it appers to be great!
Halo mod vs2 (http://www.zionmax.com/showthread.php?t=541) - nice Halo models!
Dungeons appears to be the best homebrew modding platform!
Charnold is going to add some awesome features in future:
I'm making more things moddable in the next versions, many are still
built-in (like weapon effects, 3 weapon limit, weapon damage, enemy
health...)
The soundtrack: I'm going to add this to the map.txt, so you can set your
own sound track for each level, if you want.
In the next dungeons version, I'm adding the option to enable/disable
automatic mipmap creation for every map texture.
GREAT THANKS AND RESPECT, CHARNOLD - YOU MAKE OUR HOMEBREW SCENE PROUD!

Here are the files, that allow you to convert homebrews into an ISOs. You should place the homebrew into SYSDIR folder and create the ISO with UMD-Gen. Then you may compress it into *.cso and run under DevHook, or 2.71 SE firmware menu. This reduces size of the game! The link: http://www.sendspace.com/file/01rclu
This file was uploaded by Moca.
And another Dungouns v6 build by Charnold, best for mods:
With the great mods from Be3f, Drew and Frack, I wanted to install them all parallel onto the psp (into different dungeons-folders), so I've made this eboot (it's for fw 1.0). Now you can change the main folder's name (in the original version it had to be "dungeons")

PS.Can't wait for multiplayer support in Dungeons Engine...

First, install original Dungeons v6 by Charnold
Then replace the EBOOT in PSP/GAME/Dungeons with >this one< (http://www.caweb.de/v06/EBOOT256_rel_path.zip) You may rename Dungeons folder (for example, name it MoH Dungeons for this mod).
Finally, extract everything from the MoH Mod Archive into PSP/GAME/Dungeons (apply rewriting)
And enjoy it ;)
