Will be "much cleaner, faster and reliable."
Google's Maps service is a flagship product used across the globe, which even mobile rival Apple can't avoid using as a native app on its iOS devices.
However, 9to5mac (http://9to5mac.com/2012/05/11/ios-6-apple-drops-google-maps-debuts-in-house-maps-with-incredible-3d-mode/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+9To5Mac-MacAllDay+%289+to+5+Mac+-+Apple+Intelligence%29) claims Apple will launch its own maps app that runs across iOS 6-powered iPhones, iPads and iPods in order to sever ties with Google and apply increased pressure to Android.
Sources claim the app will be similar to Google Maps, but provide a 'much cleaner, faster and more reliable experience' with an unveiling taking place at the Apple Developers Conference in June.
