Alan Wake's American Nightmare (http://www.joystiq.com/game/alan-wakes-american-nightmare) is hitting Steam and GOG (http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/08/alan-wakes-american-nightmare-scares-pc-players-on-may-22/) on Tuesday, May 22, and it's probably going to look a bit like the images in the gallery below, but with more 3D rendering and fewer "happy little trees" brush strokes. These concept images lay out the beginnings of a few key scenes in American Nightmare, along with the hatching of a few creepy crawlies and (much) larger foes.
