Online sales of electrical goods grew by 26 per cent in April, boosted by the lauch of the iPad 3.
According to data from IMRG, cited by ERT Online (http://ertonline.co.uk/ERT%20Latest%20News/sales-soar-for-online-electricals.htm), the sales were the strongest seen in 18 months with UK shoppers spending a total of £5.7 billion online.
The figures represent a ten per cent year-on-year increase, which fell short of predictions, but it was noted that last April also saw strong sales.
Along with this, mobile sales saw year-on-year growth of over 353 per cent, credited to the increase in the number of retailers offering mobile optimised websites.
