News/release from Killer Maniac (http://klmsoftware.net/?p=47):

I have finished porting the famous homebrew, FileAssistant to run on Firmware 2.8 of the PSP. I have not tested if Flash writing works as I am not willing to risk it. If you are, be my guest. I have included 5 skins that you may use if needed.

Installation Instructions: Unzip the two folders into your “ms0:/PSP/GAME” folder

To run, start xLoader (Download xLoader (http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/xloader-clarification-43010.html)) Go to the game folder in your PSP’s XMB, find FileAssistant and click (X)

Well, you really are, because you made this app, and people wouldn't be using it if you hadn't of made it, and if someone's PSP gets bricked as a result of this application then it is your full responsibility, as you caused the bricking of one further PSP in this community, so uh, YOOOOOO... u r screwed, boy.. :D

I thought this (http://dl.qj.net/FileAssistant-v0.05-TIFF-port-update-PSP-Homebrew-Applications/pg/12/fid/10126/catid/190) TIFF fileAssistant already works on 2.80

As long as the programmer states that it may brick your PSP somewhere that you may or should look, he or she is safe from all legal ramifications that may come if the user's PSP is bricked.

Yes that is file assistant as well. Just an earlier version I believe. Going to try this out soon. Working on my friend's dial-up is getting on my nerves.

Is there a newer FIleAssistant for 2.71?
Will this 2.80 version work on 2.71?

The first file assiastant was the best, with barely and GUI and you use r to go through the options, i still use it. the new one cant do as much. (im on 1.5 btw)

Since I didnt take a closer look at this, im not sure of what im about to say.

I do know for a fact that the original creator of FileAssistant released a new version that works on 2.0+, back before the 2.70+ exploit was released, and yes in fact it does work on 2.80. So whether or not this guy took his work and took credit for it or modded an older version, im unsure. If you want the version im talking about, it has all features that ++ has, including Flash and stuff, just no Eboot loading. Get it here
