Art (http://xflash.pspstuff.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4) has released a new version of his firmware modification program for the PSP, heres whats new in this release:


New for X-Flash V17b:
- Release to fix name plate routine.

Yesterdays release had these changes:


New for X-Flash V17:
- Auto checking for incorrect PSP registry version at startup.
User is kicked if a 1.50 registry is present in a 2.71 SE firmware
installation, or vice versa. A prompt is given to restore regitsry
settings in the XMB menu.
- Implementation of custom coded '6AM Sample Player'.
Sound effects are resampled louder and clearer.
Sound sample files are biult into the program eboot file.
- Mikmod audio library is now used soley to play demo music.
- Startup file checking sequence is faster since there are less
external files to validate.

why do you wanna do this...? You can boot a movie... That's the same isn't it?

If your talking about the Sony boot intro. I think it's because if it's not the same size as Sony's boot movie it will brick. Well I heard that somewhere.

If it is to small you can always at a lot of 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 etc.
Stil I don't understand why you wanna do something like that.

When you turn on your PSP.

It is black and you see "Sony Computer Entertainment"

On 1.5 (for sure) you can "debrand intro screen"

I want to change it, to like "S34MU5's PSP" thats why you n00b.

Even though i dont have the intro screen(Harleygv2) i would use it on devhook.
