The first plausible pictures of what will likely be called the iPhone 5 have appeared online.
9To5Mac (http://www.bgr.com/2012/05/29/iphone-5-design-screen-dock-parts/) claims to have obtained the snaps from smartphone repair company uBreakiFix.
The main star is the larger screen that stretches from one side of the device to the other without a border. The rear case is also redesigned and is now constructed of both metal and glass.
Also note the new dock connector and, for the first time, a headphone jack mounted on the underside of the device. This, of course, means that any existing iPhone docking device will be incompatible.
BGR (http://9to5mac.com/2012/05/29/photos-black-and-white-next-generation-metal-iphone-backs-mini-dock-taller-screen-moved-earphone-jack-present/) adds that “it’s entirely possible these parts are for a non-final version of the handset, but they do perfectly match up with what has been reported about the new iPhone”.
