Hi

I've got the Holux GPSlin 240 and i'm trying to get it working with Map This! but i've tried using the GPSlim 236 Viewer on my psp but it just says "connect your gps to seral port and turn it on".

I'm not using a resistor and i'm pretty sure the cable is working because the lua serial echo script appears to be working. I've measured the output and getting around 0.2 V.

Does anyone know what is causing the problem?

I think taht the GPSLim 236 was designed for that GPS specifically.
Whats the baud rate?

Well make sure its wired correctly but the baud rate is set for the 236 and needs to be changed in the config.txt to the 240 slim rate which is 4800

this is strange cause holux's site lists 38400 baud for that device: http://www.holux.com/product/search.htm?filename=gpsreceiver_bluetooth_gpslim24 0_gg_shchrggjjm.htm&target=gpsreceiver04&level=grandsonson

In any case, let me know if you still have the problem...
