TA-082 Downgrader

Well on my usual journeys of browsing other forums i came across something chaos zero had to say it seems he has a TA-082 downgrader program. I hope this is real and this will be good for the homebrew scene.You run the program on your PC and it generates a file for you to put on your PSP and you downgrade from

That is very very good news. If this is fake, I am still holding out hope that 0okm will make his TA-082 downgrader noob proof so he can release it to the public.

Great post Splodger15, there will be a lot of happy people out there if this is a good downgrader.
EDIT: seems like this is now good to go, been tested by someone aswell.
apparently you need to be on fw 2.5 so there is a way to get from 2.6 and 2.71 to that then you have to make a choice of either 1.5 or 2.71 se-c this is the ONLY time you can change it, any other attempts will more than likely brick.

WHOA!!! so this means a TA-082 can be downgraded to 1.5...WOW! i thought it needed a bootstrap that wasnt possible

If you you try to upgrade to anything from 1.0 - 2.01 it probably will brick...but if you upgrade to 2.5 then it will more than likely default back and then you could run it again.

yea... it works, however it is not a total 1.5. 1.5 reportedly crashes when going into settings. SE-C apparently doesn't run certain games right.

but... if you have SE-C and you don't like it, you can always go back to 1.5

If it was me, I'd just wait... eventually they'll fix the bugs and get it working in full and able to down/upgrade without all the worries. Just be patient...now that they've got it out and peole have tested it...it's only a matter of time.
