Google's SVP of mobile Andy Rubin releases figure after squashing rumours of his resignation

Android device activations have now passed 900,000 a day.
The new figure was released on Twitter (https://twitter.com/Arubin/status/211939156451012609) by Google's senior vice president of mobile, Andy Rubin, who founded Android Inc. in 2003 - Google acquired the company in 2005. Rubin was responding to rumours that he was about to resign from his position at Google.
"No plans to leave Google. Oh, and just for meme completeness -- there are over 900,000 android devices activated each day," he said.
