(http://www.engadget.com/2010/08/04/time-warner-ceo-hints-at-tying-print-tablet-magazine-subscripti/) appears to have relented in its refusal to sell subscriptions via its iOS apps, from which Apple takes a 30 percent (http://www.engadget.com/2011/02/15/rhapsody-wont-bow-to-apples-subscription-policy-issues-statem/) commission. The Sports Illustrated publisher had resisted the move, forcing people to subscribe to the print edition (http://www.engadget.com/2011/05/02/time-inc-apple-to-offer-free-ipad-downloads-to-print-magazine/) in order to receive it digitally, but an update has moved the apps intoNewsstand (http://www.engadget.com/2011/12/25/apples-newsstand-application-aiding-digital-magazine-sales-say/) and now offers digital-only (http://www.engadget.com/2011/08/04/time-inc-aims-to-please-advertisers-and-your-eyes-making-all-m/) signups. It's not clear what sparked the change, but we're just glad to see everyone thinking about the trees and getting along.
