You can only run DevHook with 1.5 or 2.71SE. Downgrade that bad-boy!

he doesnt want to downgrade... so is it possible to run devhook and cwcheat from 2.00 with hen?

EDIT: oh weird idea here..could he upgrade to 2.71 then use the devhook launcher mod to simulate... this seems dumb... 2.71 so he could use cw??

You could "upgrade" to 2.71SE, so you wouldn't need to emulate 1.5 or 2.71.

but dont you need to be at 1.5 to upgrade to 2.71 SE?

Why would you not want to Downgrade?
You cant play any of the new games with a 2.0..
Thats a waste of a good PSP

because he only owns socom ftb and has no reason to risk bricking by downgrading right now. when he wants to get a new game he'll downgrade but he WILL NOT do it unless he has to.

seeing as no-one has acctually answered the question, the only way use cw cheat on his psp without degradeing would be to upgrade to 2.71 and use HenD + 2.71 kernal DevHook (Commonally refered to as 'reverse' devhook as most people that use it emulate lower firmwares, usually 2.00-2.60 for GTA:LCS savedata cheat device or 1.5 for homebrew, the opposite of what devhook was originally made for) both can be got here (http://dax.lan.st)
Also remember that firmware dumps to be used with devhook can only be made on 1.50 kernal (as far as i know)

(I'm pretty sure that you probably knew at least half of that already, but if you didn't, now you do, lol)

ok, thanks. thats what i figured. i might just use the 2.0 downgrader without him knowing so i can just move my setup over to his stick. the 2.0 downgrader is pretty darn safe or so ive heard.

any downgrader on http://www.psp-hacks.com/category/35 is pretty safe to use
just read the readme.txt
i downgraded a 2.0 yesterday i had a problem with the mph tif
it wont load inside the photo menu
so i had to go to 2.71 to use easy downgrader full on it
and it worked fine its the 3rd psp that i downgraded

true, but some are probably more safe than others. Degraders that uses official updaters (MPH 2.00 Tiff degrader, Noobz 2.00/2.01 degrader and Dark_AleXs 2.71 generic degrader) are probably safer than degraders that usew firmware dumps (Dark_Alexs 2.50/2.60 GTA degrader and 2.71 Tiff degrader) as there is no chance in having a bad firmware dump (ie, some files missing)

i think its up to you which downgrader you use
and if you use the full version of the easydowngrader from xtrusion the flashdump comes within the package
i trust them and its easy to do

for the dax generic downgrader you have to install hen d first and the dowgrader and then the update
pretty complicated compared to clicking on a exe file like easydowngrader

I used the 2.00/2.01 easy downgrader
