EA will be trekking to Germany for Gamescom 2012, it has confirmed today, and Sony looks set to show up, too.

The site says it couldn't get direct feedback from Sony on the show, but the show's organisers at Koelnmesse were happy to confirm that they're expecting the platform holder.
"Yeah Sony is coming, even though there was a strange article that question marked it (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/352608/sony-might-not-exhibit-at-gamescom/) a week ago... but they are coming for sure!"
Nintendo and Microsoft have decided to skip the show (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/353742/microsoft-confirms-it-wont-attend-gamescom-or-tgs/?cid=OTC-RSS&attr=CVG-General-RSS) this year. "This year, Xbox will be focusing on smaller, more localized promotions and experiences for press, partners, retailers and customers around the world," Microsoft said in a statement.
