The Release of Dark Alexs Custom Firmware (http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/psp-dark_alex-releases-3-02-oe-b-run-any-psx-game-at-full-speed-on-your-psp-46998.html) yesterday that lets you play any PSX Game at Full Speed on your PSP has shook the PSP Scene to its foundations, so much i had to reset the server again last night :D ( and stuffed our counter that shows whos online- which is only showing those on the forums now and not those on the sites but 2500 on the forums alone is damn impressive)

Today Danny Kay and Quake have released Popstation Guis to help those converting their own PSX games to the format needed to play.

All the files are in the zips supplied (one has all the files, one has just the GUI)

Great news to hear about the PSONE emu ... but I have a slight issue....
I use linux, I don't have any windows pc's to use the convertor... can anyone help? I have tried using Wine (Windows Emulator) but it fails with loads of errors.
If someone could make one for linux (and Mac) I would happily test it for them.

Do not and i repeat do not requst copyrighted games and such here. you'll have to find the game on youir own. Also the popstation converting process is rather easy just follow the instructions in the read me and you'll be fine!

Excellent!

Being in the PAL region i`m having trouble getting games to work. I`m currently downloading a NTSC-U backup of FFVII.

Thanks for this~

I heard it doesn`t work perfectly though. Better of downloading a NTSC backup. But thanks for the link anyway, i`ll try it out.

Sorry mate, its site rules not to post links to illegal material, and as the eboot.pbp and keys.bin are, they cannot be posted here, sony would shut DC emu down just like they did with Lik Sang.

Hang in there you can find it.

The GUI's are nice but using the command prompt is not that hard.

I am confused on the HEX EDITING part though. Surely most people will want more than 1 game on their PSP at the same time. And I don't want game saves overwriting each other. What exactly needs to be HEX Edited?

1.) BASE.PBP
2.) Converted EBOOT.PBP

And what needs to be edited and what can be left alone regarding the game name and ID number?

Any help would be appreciated. 3.02 OE-B kicks A$$!

Good info and Tools here (http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=40593)

Reposted from MaxConsole Forums:

Method #1
1. I tried this out using Raiden Project and it worked with no problem.
First of all go ahead and convert your psx for use on the psp.

2. After its done open up the new EBOOT.PBP file in the hex editor.

3. Search for 94476.
You may have to skip over a few finds.
In the hexeditor below the part you edit shows up as _SCUS_94476.
Just overwrite the numbers with any numbers you like,
but use the same amount of characters.
I pretty sure you can use letters aswell but didn't try it.

4. Save the file and transfer to your PSP.

That's It. Now you don't have to worry about overwritting your saves.

If you want to use a unique list of numbers
