Bloomberg (http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-06-27/apple-said-to-prepare-itunes-overhaul-improving-storage-sharing.html) has reported that Apple will announce changes to iTunes by the end of the year.
An unnamed source has revealed to Bloomberg that Apple will more closely integrate its iCloud file-storage service with iTunes, meaning users will be able to seamlessly access and manage their music, videos and downloaded software apps across all of their Apple devices.
The source also claimed that there will be plans for new features for sharing music.
The rumoured updates to iTunes are said to aim to improve how people manage files and may include changes to how users find new material.
The claims state that Apple has been looking into the idea of users being able to send songs to each other to listen to for free.
Today is the iPhone’s fifth birthday; the smartphone has elevated Apple from enthusiast-based to one of the most recognised brands in the whole world. With this rise in popularity, the App Store has grown to include 28 million songs, 45,000 movies and 650,000 apps – all in just seven years.
