COO next in line to take reigns at publisher, claims source
EA CEO John Riccitiello may be asked to step down some time after the July 30th earnings report, claims a confidential source.
He will be replaced by COO Peter Moore.
The rumor, reported by Game Front (http://www.gamefront.com/rumor-ea-ceo-john-riccitiello-to-be-removed-peter-moore-to-step-in/), comes a day after Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter told an audience at the Develop Conference in Brighton that Riccitiello "fears for his job (http://www.develop-online.net/news/41363/Pachter-EAs-Riccitiello-fears-for-his-job)".
Though Pachter later claimed he was kidding, this latest development is cause for consideration.
The source said the changes had yet to be finalized, and would still be put to a vote, but said it was clear there was growing concern over the company's falling stock price.
