Project becomes second Shadowrun-related campaign to hit crowdfunding site
The newly revealed Shadowrun Online is seeking funding on Kickstarter.
Maker Cliffhanger Productions is after $500,000. At the time of writing, the project had $57,467 pledged from 851 backers with 26 days to go.
This is the second Shadowrun project to on Kickstarter. Shadowrun Returns met it’s Kickstarter funding round in 28 hours (http://www.develop-online.net/news/40630/Shadownrun-Returns-Kickstarter-ends-at-18m) with $1.8m, more than quadrupling its $400.000 funding target.
Shadowrun Online is being built using the Unity game engine, and will be accessible through browsers and tablets (Windows, Mac, Android, iOS and Linux).
It will be free-to-play MMO, and there will be a connection with the Shadowrun tabletop game and the Shadowrun Universe website, where players will be able to transfer achievements and send messages between the website and game.
