Anonymous has stated that it will reveal 40GB of data from an Australian ISP, which contains personal information from more than 600,000 customers.
The leak is said to be released later today, the hacktivist organisation claims it will take care to protect individuals’ personal details.
Yesterday, the group took credit for a series of defacements to a number of Queensland government websites and has since warned media outlets that it intends to release customer data from an Australian ISP.
Although the ISP has not been named, the 600,000 figure means that the data must of come from one of Australia’s largest ISPs, Telstra or Optus. Both these companies have millions of subscribers. Another big ISP in Oz is iiNet, which has stated that it has around 1.3 million subscribers, meaning there's a chance it could of also been the target.
The stolen data is said to be a 40GB database backup that was accessed through an unpatched Adobe ColdFusion vulnerability.
