PSP only plays American games

recently bought a PSP off ebay but only plays USA versions of games is there anyway the PSP can be chipped to allow it play UK games?

I'm 100% sure that any PSP will play any game. I know this because in my house there are 2 Japanese PSP's one US PSP and one UK PSP and they all play the various regioned games I have with absolutely no problems.

Yeah, only the UMD movies have region locking.

What games have your tried that didn't work and what error did it give?
