Rumours indicate that the iPhone 5 and possibly the iPad Mini will be released on September 21st.
iMore (http://www.imore.com/apple-iphone-5-and-ipad-mini-event-planned-september-12-iphone-5-release-date-september-21) has reported that sources have confirmed the date for the iPhone’s release, with the announcement taking place nine days before on September 12th.
This site also states that, although a date isn’t confirmed for its announcement, the iPad Mini will also see a September 21st release.
Although there has been no official announcement from Apple, other sites including The Loop, and a Wall Street Journalpublication AllThingsD have confirmed that they have received the same information on the release dates.
The iPhone 5 is rumoured to have a 4-inch retina display screen, a smaller charging port and a repositioned earphone port.
According to the rumours, the iPad Mini will feature a 7.85-inch screen with the same retina display as the New iPad. Another rumour is that the iPad Mini will come with a stylus pen. I personally can’t see this happening with an Apple product. Ever.
If the September 21st date is correct, we will see the iPhone 5 launch just 11 months after Apple’s last smartphone, the iPhone 4S.
