Any1 got Twisted Metal and managed to get online?

Hi guys got twisted metal n a 2mb conn over wireless network. Can get into the lobbies fine but can never connect into the games. was wondering if any1 has had same problem. remembering reading about this problem somewhere and cant find a solution.

is it not a firewall blocking the connection, if you are using a router then most of them have built in firewalls in them
