NiGHTS Sequel Wii-bound?

Rumors have been running rampant yet again about the possibility of a NiGHTS Into Dreams sequel on the Wii. This time around, the rumors come direct from the website of Japanese development studio, G.rev, who recently posted a release list of upcoming Wii games. Buried somewhere towards the bottom of the list was NiGHTS, although no other details were provided.

Overeager fanboys must note that this is not even close to an official confirmation of the existence of the game. Most of the titles on the list are games that are barely more than rumors now anyway, including a whole slew of games that don't even have titles yet. We contacted SEGA regarding the rumor, but they declined to comment, except to state that no plans for such an announcement are in the pipeline.

NiGHTS into Dreams was one of those games that sadly not many played, as it was a Saturn exclusive. It's also one of those games that I said if a sequel appeared on a console that it would be a reason for me to purchase said console.

It had imaginative gameplay which was a little difficult to control at times, but the game was definitely something to experience for sure. I truly hope that SEGA gets it together and starts porting these games to the newer systems, as they are games that I think more people would enjoy and purchase even today.

That game Nights into dreams was wicked i play that on my sega saturn emulator every weekend also along with Dark Savior

http://www.g-rev.com/ is not the same as http://www.grev.co.jp/ . The latter is the official site of G-Rev, the other is a news site that has no relation to the company. For whatever reason, people don't distinguish the two as separate entities. The news of this comes from the news site, and it's definitely not something that's anywhere near a guarantee (much like the announcement of Radiant Silvergun 3 on the same site).

I hope this whole thing happens because that game looks so fanstastic. I can't beileve missed out on the Sega Saturn release about 10 years ago, so a Wii release would be ace! (...but that's only if it happens...)

The thought of NiGHTS on the Wii makes my insides giggle. Lets hope this is more then just another rumour.
