I know a few people are struggling to get Custom XMB icons to work in 3.03OE-A. I thought may help if I tell people how I did mine.
I am going to assume that people know a little about their PSP.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
A 3.03OE-A PSP
X-Flash 18h
Topmenu Generator
The Steps.
1. On your PSP, go to settings/system settings and restore default settings.
2. set parental control to OFF
3. Use Topmenu Generator to make your topmenu_plugin.rco file using whichever images you want to use, or download a pre-made topmenu_plugin.rco.
4. Put the topmenu_plugin.rco into the Modified file in the X-flash file on your PSP.
5. Run X-Flash.
From the menu, highlight option 14 and press left.
6. This will then say "Open PSP Unit Information Screen". Press X.
After X-Flash reads your PSP information hold both the left and right trigger buttons and Press X. This will flash your custom topmenu_plugin.rco file.
7. Exit X-flash and enjoy them custom Icons.
I hope this helps all those who were struggling.
