New release of DSFTP by bjoerngiesler (http://giesler.biz/~bjoern/en/sw_dsftp.html)

Hi,

I've uploaded DSFTP 2.4 to http://giesler.biz/~bjoern/en/sw_dsftp.html. This version has no changes except that it supports chishm's DLDI interface.

What does that mean?
It means that
o out of the box, DSFTP supports nothing but SuperCard CF anymore. But:
o DSFTP can be patched to support any card for which a DLDI driver exists.

This greatly relieves me from having to try to support cards that I don't have access to, and it greatly helps you, the users, because your card will be supported by DSFTP as soon as a DLDI driver is released for it. (Again, a big thank you to chishm is due from everybody.)

How to patch:
o download DSFTP 2.4 from http://giesler.biz/~bjoern/en/sw_dsftp.html
o download dlditool and the appropriate DLDI for your card from http://chishm.drunkencoders.com/DLDI
o patch DSFTP 2.4 with dlditool and the DLDI file

The current release still uses a patched gba_nds_fat, which includes drivers for a lot of things other than SuperCard CF. So theoretically every card supported by DSFTP 2.3 should still work in 2.4. But don't rely on that.

DLDItool is a command-line program. If you do not know how to run it, then download the Win32 frontend from http://home.clara.net/adamhodson/dldi32-0021.zip and merge the contents of both folders (original DLDItool folder + this new one). Make sure that the correct DLDI file is in the same folder as everything else, and then run the program. It should be self-explanatory from there.

This program worked very well with my SCSD. But now I've tried using this program on my SCDS One and DS-Link and it messed up during file transfer to the DS for both. Tons of files were created that I could not delete of which had ASCII characters and very odd file sizes. It only affected the folder that I tried uploading to. Also, sometimes it would hang at random points.

works great for me, I wouldn't use it to send huge files as it tends to take a long while for them, but for most homebrew stuff it beats digging out your card reader

it's been my experience so far that the mmd for some reason runs alot more homebrew that doesn't seem to normally work just by simply setting the DS system time to 00.00 then rebooting

Argh, the download site keeps timing out. I can understand authors wanting to ensure the integrity of their work, but the service DCEmu can provide by hosting their work ensures everyone can enjoy it...

Can anyone post an attachment? I've been dying for FTP support on my R4, saves me a walk to the computer room.

Thank you, Dan!

Hmm, that link cannot be unzipped. Corrupt or damaged files.

The site seems to be working for me, now. I'll try from there. Thanks again anyway, Dan!
