Another way to obliterate your data allowance!
Mobile BitTorrent users have been pretty underserved to date, so there has been jubilation in the torrent community after uTorrent's release of a native Android app.
With about 150 million active users each month, uTorrent is by far the most used BitTorrent client in the West, but despite its popularity, the filesharing service didn’t have a mobile client, until today.
This beta release works on Android 2.1 and up, has some basic search functionality as well as the ability to subscribe to RSS feeds. A helpful feature is that users can set upload and download limits to make sure that their activity doesn’t interrupt other mobile data use or unwittingly smash their data allowance to pieces.
BitTorrent Inc says it is already reaching almost four million mobile users, but iOS users are going to have to stick with the alternatives for the time being; BitTorrent Inc told TorrentFreak (http://torrentfreak.com/utorrent-debuts-native-android-client-120905/) that it is focusing on growing its Android clients before considering an iOS app.
Get uTorrent for Android from the Google Play Store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.utorrent.client).
