Nintendo will reveal details of the Wii U's European launch in two days' time, according to a tweet (https://twitter.com/NintendoEurope/status/245512605718962177) on the company's official Twitter feed.
The tweet comes from Nintendo of Europe president Satoru Shibata, who will divulged the information during a Nintendo Direct conference on Thursday September 13 at 3pm BST (4pm CEST).
Initial reports of Nintendo's Wii U launch event came about after Nintendo Spain released, then promptly removed, the information. Shibata's tweet followed a few hours later.
The conference will coincide with a New York-based Wii U event set to reveal details on the console's North American release.
There's no mention of the Japanese release date as of yet, but with Tokyo Game Show coming up later this month, it would make sense for Nintendo to hold that back.
It's also unclear whether a final price for the hardware will be announced - Nintendo's European 3DS launch reveal (http://www.edge-online.com/news/nintendo-3ds-launches-europe-march-25) included no such figures, but a simultaneous New York event confirmed a US RRP - or if we'll learn whether or not the console will come packaged with a game. In the meantime, here's our wishlist of games (http://www.edge-online.com/features/wii-u-games-edge-wants-see) that we'd like to see on the console.
You'll be able to watch the conference yourself, here (http://www.edge-online.com/news/wii-u-european-release-date-be-revealed-week).
