The iPod Touch gets bigger and the world is treated to a whole new range of Nanos.
Along with the new iPhone (http://www.mobile-ent.biz/news/read/iphone-5-is-officially-unveiled/019350), Apple also announced some new iPods. Here's a quick breakdown:
New iPod Touch
The new Touch has a 4-inch screen, is 6mm thick and weighs just 88 grams. It's the thinnest and lightest iPod Touch so far.
It has a 5-megapixel camera with the same panorama feature as the iPhone 5.
For the first time it will have a dual-core chip and Apple say it will offer 40 hours of music playback and eight hours of video playback.
It's got Siri, too, and is available in silver, black, blue, yellow, or red.
Selling at $299 for the 32GB version and $399 for the 64GB version, the new Touch will reach consumers in October.
New iPod Nano
This is the seventh-generation iPod Nano and it has a 2.5-inch touch display. Just 5mm thick, it's 40 per cent thinner than the previous model.
It is available in seven colours - white, black, purple, green, blue, yellow, and red - and has an integrated FM tuner which includes a live pause feature.
The new 16GB Nano will cost $149.
Both the Touch and the Nano will include Apple's new eight-pin dock connector, called Lightning.
The iPod Shuffle is unchanged from last year's model but is available in the same colours as the Nano, costing $49 for a 2GB device.
