Hot on the heels of MCV revealing the estimated UK prices, several retailers have gone live with their own Wii U price tags.
Both retailers is currently taking pre-orders for all three SKUs: the Basic, the Premium and the special ZombiU pack.
Tesco is asking for £249 for Basic (http://www.tescoentertainment.com/store/game/wii-nintendo-wii-u-white-basic-pack/8%3a951439), £329 for the ZombiU bundle (http://www.tescoentertainment.com/store/game/wii-nintendo-wii-u-black-premium-pack-includes-zombie-u/8%3a951440) and£299 for the Premium model (http://www.tescoentertainment.com/store/game/wii-nintendo-wii-u-black-premium-pack-includes-nintendo-land/8%3a951505).
This is inline with estimates based on trade prices revealed by high-end retail sources (http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/how-much-is-wii-u-retail-tells-mcv-250-330/0102833), which we reported on earlier.
Amazon was offering lower prices, but has since bumped them up to £250 for the Basic SKU (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nintendo-Wii-8GB-Basic-Pack/dp/B004Y59P3A/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1347556418&sr=1-1) and £285 for the Premium (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nintendo-Wii-U-Black/dp/B008B5YB4W/ref=sr_1_2?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1347556418&sr=1-2). Interestingly, it doesn't seem to offering the ZombiU bundle at the time of writing.
Similarly, ShopTo has opted for a Basic price of £247.85 (http://shopto.net/wiiu/WIIUHW01-nintendo-wii-u-console-white), a Premium price of £279.85 (http://www.shopto.net/wiiu/WIIUHW02-nintendo-wii-u-console-black).
GAME has gone slightly higher (https://twitter.com/GAMELowestoft/status/246293900841611264) at £259.99 (Basic), £309.99 (Premium) and £349.99 (ZombiU). The specialist is asking for a £20 deposit for each.
But it's SimplyGames that currently has the lowest prices, offering the Premium pack for a low £249.99 (http://www.simplygames.com/info/19645) andthe Basic pack for £209.99 (http://www.simplygames.com/info/19644/Nintendo-Wii-U-Console-Base-Pack-White-Nintendo-Wii-U).
