any way to get SD HC cards to work with my m3 sd slim?

I have a 4.0 gb sd-high capacity (hc) memory card here at my house that is mine... and i really want to use it with my m3, but the m3 sd does not support sd hc. does anyone know of a way to like, format an sd hc card in a way to work with the m3 sd or something?
