Microsoft has renewed its trademark for Rare's long-dormant fighting series, Killer Instinct.

"Our legal eagles have authorized us to say: We have either renewed or refiled a trademark application in various jurisdictions."
That was all MS was willing to say, but that's one mighty teaser. Could we be looking at another N64 re-release for XBLA (like Banjo Kazooie HD) or an all-new Killer Instinct?
Killer Instinct Gold - the N64 rendition of the arcade-going Killer Instinct 2 - was released in 1996 and we've had nothing since.
Which would you prefer; a HD re-release or a new game altogether?
