The PSP is supposed to play Flash video one of these days ... but considering Sony's slow adoption of features we really want, we wouldn't hold our breath for it. Until then, there's a ridiculously easy solution for converting videos from sites like YouTube ... and it doesn't even involve downloading any software!

1. Get the URL of the video you want.
2. Copy URL into the "FLV Online Converter (http://vixy.net/flv_converter)" at vixy.net
3. Choose "MP4 for iPod/PSP"
4. Wait for the conversion, download file, and then save it to your PSP under the "VIDEO" folder.

DCEmu's YouTube video to psp format conversion guide here (http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=49512)

Does it get any easier than this? Not really. I found it to work quite quickly, with some impressive results.

Very nice :) but I used http://keepvid.com and then I used 3GP converter. Plus, I can change how I want to export it.

I don't understand how, when some people upload videos to Youtube, there are extremely high quality, but most videos are low quality. Point is, with 3GP, I could convert any video however I wanted.

pretty nifty and it converts pretty quick too so its good if you just want to hurry up and watch a video from youtube on the go.

it doesnt matter what quality you upload vids to youtube in, you could upload them at the highest poissible quality. youtube has to make the quality less so that it streams well over all types of internet connections

Um, this program doesn't work. How can it work? It doesn't generate a THM thumbnail, so the PSP won't even look at the video. Is this only for a certain level of firmware? And what do you mean a "Video" directory? The PSP has always held it's videos in the MP_ROOT folder. Neither my 2.71 or 1.5 PSP will read videos in any other folder.

LOL I have been doing this for so long with google video, well its nice that there is an easier way now to do it with youtube. Before I would have to go through an annoyin gprocess of iether saving it as a swf, or a flv.. which was annoying in both ways. Then the conversions take god awful long especially for full episodes of an anime or something.

Well now I can keep up to date on my bleach anime with ease =]

P.S. did anyone catch Bleach episode 111 "wicked good episode!"

This doesnt seem to work with me, i have converted a couple of files and named them as i like. Where do i have to put them? In this guide you dont specify in wich folder you have to copy them or if you have to rename them.
