Nintendo's announced special edition Animal Crossing 3DS (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/nintendo-ds/rpg/11613/animal-crossing-3ds/) and New Super Mario Bros. 2 (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/nintendo-3ds/platformer/12677/new-super-mario-bros-2/) 3DS XL consoles for Japan.

During a Nintendo Direct 'Mini' broadcast this morning, the platform holder also announced a Black Nintendo 3DS XL (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/nintendo-3ds/games/12777/nintendo-3ds-xl/) due for release on November 1 for 18,900 yen (£150).
