I really like the menu audio samples! One thing I notice is that it takes a while to read the games directory, I'm off to try more games just finished the 1st track of Stunt Car Racer without falling :P

Great Release. Thank you.
Anyway, I think the time it takes to load the disc is pretty long. I'd prefer an option, where the emu doesn't try to recognize every game on the cd, so i could start right away. And i don't think that sound is as intended in one or two of the games i tried so far, but nevermind. Atari chipsound never bothered me much. Everything's smooth so far... one exception here: lotus turbo esprit challenge 3 slows down with sound enabled. Ah, who cares? Well, thanks again, i'm absolutely stunned, excellent job, keep up the good work, please. *Dreaming of an Amiga Emu as good as this release, sigh*

MARVELOUS, EXCELLENT version.
I have tested now the emu, but i have tried a bug, when i want save to VMU the emu crash.
R TYPE 2
DELIVERANCE
GHOST'N GOBLINS
WAR MACHINE
they have the bug of not fire when you play, but work when you push the fire button togheter at the cross of movement.
Tried and see.
However is FANTASTIC this emu and your job is incredible, this emu can be perfect.
Ah my VMU not is original of dreamcast but a multi VMU make from others ^_^.
Now the AMIGA is priority :D THE ATARI ST emu is OK, this can be the final version. ALL, ALL beautiful, :D THANK YOU. :°| I'M VERY HAPPY .

There's an application called mkcache, you can download it for Windows and GNU/linux from downloads section.
Follow instructions to create your own game CRC cache, and burn the file created into de cdrom's root with the emu.
After this, games loading time, should be like a rocket.

That didn't work should I rename the .txt file with the same name of directory where the games are? Also I think it would be easier to make a PAL and NTSC version or make 60Hz default and press 'Y' for 50Hz that would be the best.

mmm....no, if you have a 50hz tv only, you can't read 'press Y for 50Hz'.
Also, DCaSTaway synchronize better using 50Hz because it emulate atariST 50Hz.

you could do what FOF does, it looks to see what the DC bios is (european or use/jap) it only displays the 60hz option if its european

DCaSTaway use this method, but if detect PAL Dreamcast ask for 60/50Hz.

Christuserloeser, thats right :D
And now.... very busy working on DCMac+, will be the last emu to complete de TRIPLE A (Atari, Amiga Apple using the M68000K).
Since the day i opened the M68k thread many things have passed, and with the new cracks, the new cores, all the ammount of emus for dreamcast that day to day arrives to dreamcast, is a great subject to be happy. The NeoGeo CD/SDL, the NEOCD, The NEO4ALL, and many emus still to come...
Keep tuned and let's see if between us can perform new ideas and challenges

Nice work indeed, Thank you Ron, Chui and team, very very much! I had problems loading:
Garfield: A Winter's Tail- Reset DC
Pepsi Challenge: no control
Bolo: mouse control is backwards
Onyx- crashes system
garfield:(??) no control response
tech mate chess- quit resets dc
Hollywood Poker- Resets DC after a couple loading screens
Mouse Trap: Non responsive controls for about 10+ seconds
First Person Pinball: Stays at 1st & 2nd screen, non responsive to input.
it is looking quite nice.
i have a bit of a prob tho, the time it takes to load root of the disc with the disk images is about 3 minutes. even after i've loaded it once, and i peek into a folder that doesn't have any st images in it, then click on (..) to go back up a level, it's another Please Wait, for another 3 minutes. Did it used to do this before? I tried the thing with the mkcache, and put the .txt file in the (root) with my disk images, should i maybe have put them into a folder or a sub folder? Also, my tos was 1.04 uk, would you recommend i try 1.0?
thanks in advance. I found i was running 200 images in the main root- im gonna try re-burning with stuff in different folders.

it worked better when i first put all my images together, ran the exe, the split up the games into subfolders, leaving the txt file at the root. load times are much better, with 128 max per folder/ directory.
i have to go to sleep, ive been up all nite playing with this and my brain is gooey, its 7 am thanks for the early bday present, i turn 29 on 4-14.
nite.

NO MOVE STCACHE.TXT, DCaSTaway need this file per directory; run mkcache.exe per directory.
