Not too long ago Mark Zuckerberg said that Facebook's HTML5 Android app was a mistake (http://www.mobile-ent.biz/news/read/html-5-facebook-s-biggest-mistake/019339) and that the company was working on an Android native app.
And it's nearly ready... at least, according to a report on Engadget (http://www.engadget.com/2012/10/08/native-facebook-for-android/)
A source inside Facebook told them that the native version for Android has entered the final stages of testing.
We can only hope that they haven't simply cloned the iOS app, because that would de dumb and only prolong the length of time Android users will have to go to the mobile site.
