So, that's where it went! Almost two years after it disappeared off the Virtual Console (http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/11/nes-ghosts-n-goblins-removed-from-virtual-console/), the NES version of Ghosts 'n Goblins will pop out of the grave again on the 3DS eShop. Capcom announced today the classic will return next Thursday, October 25.
Although the NES version of Ghosts 'n Goblins isn't available on the Virtual Console, the arcade version (http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/10/nintendoware-weekly-jelly-car-2-ghosts-n-goblins-exed-exes/) of the game is for 800 Wii points. Placing your controller or 3DS in a soft shell to prevent breakage after being thrown is recommended in either case.
