I bought a silver PSP with 1.5 firmware from Success-HK http://www.superufo.com and it arrived today.

I only did due to my order being refused from Devineo due to not importing, which I was gutted about.

Anyway I ordered the PSP for $258 inc shipping.

I got confirmation email of order but that was as far as it went in terms of communication.

I then got a note through the door from UPS saying they had attempted delivery.

Rung them and got them to change delivery to my work.

Signed for the item and had to pay £38.41 charge.

I assume this was import duty, which whilst gutted about was the first time out of the hundreds of overseas orders.

The note states

£27.41 import duties
And also £11 insurance. Can anyone explain what the insurance is about and why I have been charged.

The PSP is on charge and as soon as it is I'll find out as to whether it is indeed a 1.5 version. (yes its 1.5)

Can anyone point me in the direction of a link to an online english manaul as this is the jap version.
